| Bio: | I'm a child of the 80's who used to feel that I knew everything; now I know that I know nothing, yet somehow I am supposed to shape a life and even teach others. So I do. I do my best in my graduate courses. I tell my students even now: Enjoy where you are, just out of high school, often still living with mom and dad, with all sorts of notions that are powerful but are yet to be tried and found lacking. Enjoy what you are: glowing with health, more than half-blind to what the world really is. I used to think I knew it all, I had it pegged. I used to think that I had already been through enough to truly make me an adult. What I didn't realize is that the first entrance into adulthood is truly a journey into a new state of mind, a new way of seeing - and that journey is ongoing. It doesn't stop when you're 25. It might never stop, and there might always be a part of you that has more than one limb submerged in the river of childhood. | |||||
